CACTUS EXHIBITION
In surfing folklore Cactus is legendary. It was the original secret surf spot on the edge of the desert. An isolated coastline eroded by extremes and inhabited by ferocious creatures . . . some of them surfers.This spectacular exhibition from Christo Reid’s book "Cactus Surfing Journals from Solitude" will be on show daily from 9am till 5pm during January and February at the SurfWorld Museum in Torquay. 2012 SURFWORLD SURF FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAM
The Official Program for the 2nd Surfworld International Surf Film Festival has just been released. The festival runs from Tuesday 3rd to Friday 6th January 2012 at the Surfworld Museum in Torquay.

2012 SURF WORLD INTERNATIONAL SURF FILM FESTIVAL.
The 2nd Surf World International will be held at the Surf World Museum Torquay from Tuesday 3rd to Friday 6th January, 2012.
The festival program will be announced in early December. Tickets will be available from 7th December at Surf World.

2011 SURF FEST
The 2011 SURF FEST presented by Surf World Museum Torquay and SEDA will be held this year on Saturday 19th November at Jan Juc Beach. SURF FEST is a fun surf contest organized by local SEDA students. The event is open to teams of 3 surfers comprising shortboard rider, longboard rider and ‘retro’ board riders. Proceeds from SURF FEST go to the Quiksilver Foundation who support environmental, social, education and youth programs. Register.

BELLS GOLD EXHIBITION
the new BELLS GOLD Exhibition celebrates fifty years of surfing contests at the iconic Bells Beach.  The exhibition features spectacular photographs, champion surfboards, artefacts, previously unseen movie footage plus a rare opportunity to see up close Simon Anderson’s ground breaking ‘thruster’ surfboard from 1981 and Kelly Slater’s winning Bells Beach trophy from 2010. Peter Troy's book launch “To The Four Corners Of The World”
SurfWorld Torquay will be hosting the launch of Peter Troy’s book “To The Four Corners Of The World” on Thursday 13th of January 2011 at 7.00pm. Peter is remembered for being fundamental in the establishment of SurfWorld Torquay and his passion for surfing heritage and Australian surfing history. His amazing world travels and inspirational surfing life are the basis for this much anticipated book. Read more.

John Witzig and Rusty Miller launch REVOLUTION Exhibition… now on show at SurfWorld Museum Torquay
On Wednesday 15th September the REVOLUTION Exhibition at SurfWorld was officially opened by surfing legends John Witzig and Rusty Miller. The launch was also attended by Gail Couper (Australian Team), Joe Sweeney and Tony Olsson who played an active role in the organisation of the contest at Bells Beach in 1970. Fossil Bone Bells Beach Whale Fossil Bone finds a new home
On Friday 3rd July, 2009 a group of local surfers from the Bells Beach Surfing Reserve Advisory Committee discovered a large prehistoric whale fossil bone at Bells Beach.
